Before you go…

Emma’s diary is where I let my other self out. It’s explicit, AI-made art of Emma, the trans girl I imagine being, a fictional adult.

It’s my way of expressing that part of me instead of hiding it. Made with love, and very much 18+ only.

Chapter 1 · The escape

Why do I want to be a girl? Weak, bullied and no girlfriend

By the creator · a true story

Short answer

Why do I fantasize about being a girl?

For a lot of guys it starts as an escape. When you feel weak, bullied or invisible to girls, being “her” means being soft, wanted and desired, everything you feel you’re not. Over time it can become a real turn-on. Neither makes you a freak.

“I didn’t want to be her because I was a girl. I wanted to be her because I hated being me.”

Puberty hit, and I didn’t like the life I woke up in.

I was weak. Physically, mentally, all of it. I got bullied a bit, the kind you laugh off so it doesn’t get worse. Girls didn’t look at me. Not in a cruel way. Just nothing. I wasn’t in the picture.

So every evening, I disappeared.

Video games. And porn. Porn several times a day, every day, for years. Those were the only two places where I didn’t have to be me.

The thought I never said out loud

Somewhere in all of that, a thought slipped in. Quiet at first. What if I just switched teams?

If no girl would ever want me… what if I was the girl?

She was cute. She was soft. People wanted her. Nobody pushed her around, they looked at her. Being her was the perfect escape from being me.

It felt like half a joke. And half the most exciting thing I had ever thought.

I didn’t know yet that this one thought would follow me for the next ten years.

More questions

Is it normal to fantasize about being a girl?
Yes. It’s far more common than anyone admits, especially among guys who felt weak or unwanted growing up. People just don’t talk about it.
I don’t have a girlfriend and I fantasize about being one. Why?
When you can’t have something, becoming it can feel like the next best thing. It’s a known pattern, and building a life you like usually loosens its grip.
